Mia Abagale Tallarico, professionally known as Mia Tyler, was born on December 22, 1978, in Lebanon, New Hampshire, USA. She is the daughter of rock legend Steven Tyler, lead singer of Aerosmith, and actress Cyrinda Foxe. Mia is the paternal half-sister of actress Liv Tyler, whose mother is model and singer Bebe Buell. Raised primarily near Lake Sunapee, New Hampshire, Mia moved to New York City with her mother in 1990 following her parents' divorce. Her mother passed away in 2002 after battling a brain tumor. ​

Mia Tyler began her modeling career at the age of 17, appearing as a VJ on MTV's "House of Style."
